About the Event
This summer, the team at Greater Washington Partnership (GWP) hosted eleven seated members of Congress from Maryland and Virginia at a reception in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Officials gave their remarks on the current state of the job market, federal lay-offs, and the work GWP is doing to assist unemployed members of the region with continuing education. The event took place on June 14th in a Capitol Hill row house, where light hors d’oeuvres and wine were served.
The Greater Washington Partnership is a nonprofit alliance featuring leading employers in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Employers include Amazon, Northrop Grumman, and Deloitte. Stratus Firm’s founder and principal, Roger Whyte, serves on its Leadership Council.
